O'Neill Fire Department Aids in the Fire Fighting
at Chadron and Harrison, Nebraska

FIGHTING FIRE NEAR HARRISON - These are the conditions O'Neill firemen saw when combating the range fires near Chadron and Harrison.

Fighting fire near Harrison (l-r): Matt Schmitz, Roger Miller, Adam Kurtz, Rod Ludemann, Scott Menish, Dale Waterman and Earl Hipke all traveled to Harrison to help with the wild land fires raging in the western part of Nebraska. Four of the firemen left Sunday afternoon after a statewide mutual aid call and the other three headed out Monday morning. All the firement have returned after the weather changed and the fire conditions became less critical.

Rod Ludemann was one of seven firemen that traveled to Harrison to help with the fires.
